Investment Strategy & Criteria

•	InDecatur Ventures, LLC prefers Decatur and Macon county based companies in the early stage investment category, though it is also willing to consider on an occasional basis a seed or expansion stage investment and companies located outside the Decatur, Illinois area.
•	Venture capital investment is essentially an opportunity-driven activity. Consequently, the Fund is positioned to take advantage of special situations that present themselves in general conformance with our philosophy and practices.
•	Our initial investment commitments average $400,000 and range from under $250,000 to $1 million.
•	The Fund seeks co investment partners that will expand its network of industry expertise and resources. InDecatur Ventures has been the lead or co-lead investor in all of its investments to date. The majority of InDecatur Ventures venture capital funds investments are made jointly with other investors.
